We are so honored that you are sharing this experience with us, and we know that your heart and blessings are with Josh, Cody, Baby and me. Truly all we need is a celebration of this connection, and with this joy, all other "things" that we need find their way to us.

Elephant Ears is a cool place!

We are registered at amazon.com as well as Elephant Ears in Ann Arbor. For those of you who want to go shopping at an actual store, Elephant Ears is a cool shop located in Kerrytown. Beyond supporting a family-owned business and local economy, I chose Elephant Ears because:

- they are honest and have a great educational registry (they spent hours with me explaining all the ethical inventory and why they love it).
- They will PRICE MATCH! Just provide proof of the lower price and they will check to see that it is in stock, consider shipping fees, and honor that price for you. (You will see that I have left notes on the amazon registry reminding you that certain items may be available through them.)
- If you don't meet their free shipping requirements ($50), OR if you want them to wrap it up (no charge) they will hold it in their warehouse and we can pick it up for the shower!! YES- this means you can order it, online or by phone, and that's all you have to do. It will end up wrapped up for the baby at the shower!
- For all that is spent on spoiling us and the baby, they do a "BOUNCE BACK". They tally up the total at the close of our registry and give 10% back to us to use as store credit!

I'm Picky...

You know me, I have strong feelings about some things... we'll just say- I'm picky. But it's helped me to be more practical, thoughtful, and thrifty too! I have been researching and educating myself by interviewing moms, by thoroughly perusing- no scouring- craigslist, amazon, and zulily & visiting stores to have the "hands on" experience. (I actually can't wait for Mom2Moms sales!) I have learned that it comes down to this: there's a lot of stuff we may need, and lotsa crap we probably don't.

Please consider:

THE GREEN OPTION

Feel free to give us gently used items (no need to buy new if you find it on craigslist for cheaper or there's one sitting in your closet taking up space). Save time, gas and money!

THE LEARNING & GROWING OPTION (THE OTHER GREEN OPTION;)

Although Josh has been a wonderful father to Cody for 12 years, we don't know what's around each parenting corner, nor what we may or may not need for this baby girl. $ to use as we learn, grow and get decisive together as a family would be priceless!

I would love to create a "Baby Bank" for when we need something big or small. How else can I say this? Cash is awesome. I would LOVE to use this money to use my savvy bargain hunting skills as we need things. Not to mention, there are some bigger ticket items that we need more time to consider.
